We write the exit clause into the contract.
Over a long career on the client side, I hired a great many advisors. Most of them were competent. Very few of them were still present when the difficult part began. The report arrived, the invoice followed, and my team was left to implement advice written by people who had never run the operation it described.
Nexera exists because of that gap. We built the firm we would have wanted to hire: one that stays through build and live operation, that puts its own people on the floor, and that measures itself against the client's numbers rather than its own deliverables.
It is also why we write the exit clause into the contract. A dependency is not a partnership. If we have done the work properly, the capability is yours, your people can run it, and the date we hand it back was fixed on day one.
We prove the value before we discuss the charges. That has never cost us a client worth keeping.

For most of my twenty-five years in this field, the supply chain was treated as a cost line to be squeezed rather than a capability to be built. That view is expensive. The supply chain decides what a company can promise a customer, how much cash sits still, and how quickly it can respond when conditions change. Those are board-level questions, and they deserve board-level attention.
What I have learned in manufacturing, distribution and export is that the answer is almost never a new idea. It is the disciplined execution of a known one, in the specific conditions of that business. Which is why we do not sell recommendations. We agree the metric that matters, we work alongside the team that owns it, and we stay until it moves.
